DOCUMENT VERIFICATION

For a child to be a Little Leaguer®, eligibility must first be established by way of residency inside the boundaries of a local Little League®, or the location of the school where the child attends is located inside a local league’s boundaries that is approved by Little League Baseball, Incorporated.

TWO OPTIONS TO VERIFY PLAYER DOCUMENTS:
Player documents can be uploaded during the registration process. 
                                              or
Parents must attend one of the two Document Verification Clinics.

Failure to provide documents either by uploading documents during the registration process or by attending one of the two document verification clinics OR uploading your documents through our registration portal - will result in your child(ren)'s registration being cancelled. For easy document verification, print out the school enrollment form. Have your child(ren)'s school fill out the form. Bring the completed form and birth certificate to a clinic. If attending the clinic is not possible, all forms may be uploaded online to your players profile.

Equipment Guide

UNIFORMS

  • Team shirts and hats will be distributed to the team during the first few weeks of practice thanks to the generosity of the Arizona Diamondbacks Give Back Program.
  • Belt, Pants, & Socks- The team parent or team manager will select the color of these and let you which if any will be required for your player.  Generally speaking, pants will be required for all players but some softball teams may opt for shorts at the lower levels.  The cost of such items is borne by the player. 

EQUIPMENT

  • Baseball gloves are required and should be at both practices and games. Avoid buying an oversized glove and beginners should stick to a smaller glove for additional control. 
    T-Ball  9-10
    Infield 10 - 11.75
    Pitcher 11.5 - 12.25
    Outfield 11.5 - 12.25 

  • Batting gloves are optional and a personal preference of the player. 
  • Baseball bats are required and not provided.  Your bat must also conform to the specifications as to what bats are approved by Little League for use in their various divisions.  
    • Bats in suitable sizes by age and division
    • Baseball bats must meet the USABat Standard for Tee Ball, Minor, and Major Divisions (Rule 1.10)
    • Baseball must meet the USABat Standard or BBCOR for Intermediate, Junior, and Senior Divisions (Rule 1.10)
    • Softball must be stamped with BPF 1.20 (Rule 1.10)

  • Cleats are required and not provided.  Metal spike cleats are not permitted. Shoes with molded cleats are permissible. Parents can select the color.
  • Helmets are required and not provided.   Faceguards are permitted, provided they were fitted to the helmet by the manufacturer and contain all of the original fasteners. 
  • All male players playing divisions higher than Tee Ball must wear an athletic supporter for their protection per Little League.
  • Fielding Masks Softball-  Required for all softball players in a Varsity, Minors, and Majors. 

CATCHER'S GEAR

  • ARLL will provide catcher's gear. 
  • Catchers must wear approved long or short model chest protectors. All catchers must wear chest protectors with the neck collar, throat guard, shin guards and catcher's helmet, all of which must meet Little League® specifications and standards.
  • All catchers must wear a mask, “dangling” type throat protector and catcher's helmet during infield/outfield practice, pitcher warm-up and games.
