Arcadia Little League

WELCOME TO THE SPRING ARCADIA LITTLE LEAGUE SPRING SEASON

Registration will OPEN November 1 2023. It will close February 4, 2024 for the Spring 2024  Arcadia Little League Season!

REGISTRATION DETAILS

DIVISIONS OF PLAY
Division placement is determined by a combination of variables including player league age, skill level, prior league experience, prior coach recommendation, Little League guidelines and parent input. The registration application will ask several questions to help us determine the correct division for your child based on these variables. You will find information below to help with this process.

  • Baseball Divisions of Play
  • Softball Divisions of Play

  • LITTLE LEAGUE AGE
We offer many programs for ages 4-12.  Please see the below League Age determination chart as Little League International has recently made changes to the League Age Definition which could impact your child’s age for their Little League season.

  • Age Chart

  • SPECIAL DIVISION REQUESTS (PLAY UP)

When registering, select the age appropriate division. If you want to request for your son or daughter to be eligible to “play up” in an older division, enter that request in the special request section on the registration form. Please note, however, that limited play up requests will be granted as our experience over many years has shown that players benefit more from being in an age appropriate division as opposed to possibly having to compete for playing time and not pitching in an older division.  Play down requests were generally honored in the past, however because of potential safety issues your player now must be evaluated by the President, VP of Baseball/ Softball, the Commissioner and the Player Agent. Please reach out to [email protected] for more information

Arcadia Little League reserves the right to re-assign a child to a division other than the one in which he or she is originally registered or requested by his parent. This is done for a variety of reasons: safety, the need for equal teams, for the development of any one particular child, to ensure that each division has the requisite number of players, or for the general well-being of the league as a whole.

    FRIEND / COACH REQUESTS
Whenever possible friend / coach requests are honored at the non-competitive younger divisions. Friend / Coach requests are not guaranteed. Friend requests are not honored in the competitive baseball divisions, as there is a draft.

    GAME AND PRACTICE SCHEDULES
Arcadia Little League baseball and softball game schedules won't be published until after team formation is complete and practices are underway.

    THE BASICS:

ARLL proudly participates in Little League post-season tournaments for players aged 8-10 (10U), 9-11 (11U), and 10-12 (12U). These tournaments play against other teams within our District, with champions advancing to State tournaments and potentially beyond for the 12U team. Learn more about All-Stars and the Little League International Tournament program, including rules and regulations Click Here

    SELECTION PROCESS:

Any player 8-12 years old who has played in 8 of their team’s games is eligible to participate in the All-Star selection process. Players wanting to be considered and placed on the All-Star ballot must register on the website by May 1 for a chance to be selected to a ARLL All-Star Team.

Each team will be comprised of 12-14 players and chosen by a collaborative selection process by players, Managers and Coaches.

    TOURNAMENT DETAILS:

    • The District 6 10U and 11U tournaments will be hosted by Arcadia Little League at Ingleside Middle School early June.
    • The 12U tournament will be hosted by ARLL at Ingleside Middle School late June.
